We had some discussions on the SPAD Forum (check it out here) about a more rigid mounted ski.
This is how I mounted mine. I put an eye hole screw at the front of each ski. I connected a 12" fishing leader eye hole screw using the quick clip on the leader. I put a screw through the other end of the leaders and screwed it into the fuselage. Notice the fuselage and skiis are not perfectly parallel. On the back part of the skis I put a screw about 4" from the axle. I drilled a small hole in the landing about 2" from the fuselage. In the hole on the landing gear, I used a home made key ring to attach a rubber band. |
