TT .42 Carb Modification! Remote Needle
Nipple for carb There is a small cavity that the orginal needle used to transfer fuel in from the angled needle into the barrel. I chose to drill through the side, however the top might work as well. I used an 1/16" drill to find the depth to drill. I used masking tape for a guage on the Pilot Drill and the Tap. The nipple I found was a #10-32. After I threaded in the nipple I JB welded the the original hole closed. The extra JB weld was smeared around the nipple as precaution to prevent an air leak.
Remote mount I purchased a remote needle and mounted it to a piece of PVC angle. On this airplane I had a little upthrust (by accident). So I mounted the angle PVC behind the motor mount to correct the upthrust. |
