A
few useful keystrokes within Windows
When you encounter the phrase
"control+" followed by a key it means to hold the control
key down and press the designated key. This also applies to the key
words "shift" and "alt". The key word "windows"
will be used to referr to the special windows keys that are next to
the "alt" buttons, they are identified by a small Windows
icon.
Within the
windows environment, it
is
important to note that you usually select what you are going to act
on, and then select an action, such as one of the following
keystrokes.

vertical bar "|", when editing text, the edit cursor is
also the insertion point.
